Semax Side Effects
Semax is a synthetic ACTH-derived neuropeptide that is generally well tolerated. It is available in both injectable and nasal spray form. Most patients tolerate it without significant issues, though its mild stimulant-like properties are worth being aware of.

Side effects to be aware of
Injection site reactions
CommonMild redness or swelling at the injection site if using the injectable form. Rotating sites helps.
Headache
UncommonOccasionally reported, particularly early in treatment. Usually mild and resolves without intervention.
Mild stimulant-like effects
UncommonSome patients notice increased alertness or mild energising effects. This is often part of the intended cognitive enhancement. A small number of patients find this overstimulating.
Irritability or anxiety
RareA small number of patients report mild irritability or anxiety, particularly at higher doses. Reducing the dose usually resolves this.
Fatigue after dose
RareSome patients experience a mild energy dip several hours after the dose. Usually transient.
