Side effects to be aware of

Nausea

Common

The most commonly reported side effect. Typically occurs in the first one to two hours after administration and resolves within a few hours. Taking with a small amount of food and avoiding high-fat meals before dosing reduces this significantly.

Facial flushing

Common

Warmth and redness in the face and neck, usually occurring within 30 minutes of administration. Common and generally mild.

Headache

Common

Frequently reported, usually mild to moderate and transient.

Blood pressure increase

Requires monitoring

Transient blood pressure elevation has been documented. Patients with hypertension require blood pressure monitoring.

Fatigue or tiredness

Uncommon

Some patients feel tired after administration. This is usually manageable.

Nasal irritation

Common

Mild burning or congestion from the nasal spray formulation. Usually transient.

Monitoring

Blood pressure should be measured before and after the first dose. Patients with cardiovascular risk factors should be assessed before treatment.
