KPV Side Effects
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a tripeptide fragment of alpha-MSH with potent anti-inflammatory properties. It is very well tolerated, including in oral and topical forms, and is particularly studied for inflammatory bowel conditions.

Side effects to be aware of
Injection site reactions
CommonMild redness or swelling at the injection site if using the injectable form. Very mild.
Mild gastrointestinal effects (oral)
RareOccasionally reported with oral forms, particularly at high doses. Usually mild and transient.
Who is a good candidate?
- Adults with inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, or colitis
- Those with chronic systemic inflammation seeking a gentle, well-tolerated anti-inflammatory peptide
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Contraindications
Your physician screens for these conditions before prescribing. Do not attempt to self-prescribe.

- Known hypersensitivity
When to contact your physician
- Nausea, vomiting, or digestive symptoms that are severe or do not ease within two weeks
- Any chest pain, palpitations, or significant change in heart rate
- Signs of allergic reaction: rash, hives, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing
- Injection site reactions that worsen, spread, or do not resolve within 72 hours
- Any new or worsening symptoms that concern you, regardless of whether they seem related to your protocol
