Side effects to be aware of

Mild gastrointestinal discomfort

Uncommon

Some patients notice mild bloating or loose stools when starting oral BPC-157, particularly at higher doses. This typically resolves within the first week.

Nausea

Uncommon

Occasionally reported, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Taking with a small amount of food usually resolves this.

Who is a good candidate?

Generally suitable for
  • Patients with gastrointestinal conditions including IBD, Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, and leaky gut
  • Those with NSAID-related stomach damage
  • Patients who prefer oral administration over injection
Not suitable for
  • Those expecting the same systemic healing effects as injectable BPC-157 (lower systemic absorption)
  • Patients with active cancer

Contraindications

Your physician screens for these conditions before prescribing. Do not attempt to self-prescribe.

  • Active cancer or recent cancer history
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Known hypersensitivity to any component

When to contact your physician

  • Nausea, vomiting, or digestive symptoms that are severe or do not ease within two weeks
  • Any chest pain, palpitations, or significant change in heart rate
  • Signs of allergic reaction: rash, hives, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing
  • Injection site reactions that worsen, spread, or do not resolve within 72 hours
  • Any new or worsening symptoms that concern you, regardless of whether they seem related to your protocol
